The introduction of the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) on 1st August 1998 replaced the ACoP scheme for the certification of competence required by the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.

The scheme resulted in a national database of qualified and registered installers, managed by CORGI.

Who are we?

Part of the Sterling Group, Sterling Assessment Services prides itself on quality. Approved by CORGI, we are authorised by NICEIC Certification to carry out the necessary examinations and assessments under the new ACS scheme.

Incorporating Sterling Industrial, a highly trained gas team covering the Midlands area, we have built our whole business around gas, its uses and dangers. In an industry where mistakes can be potentially lethal, quality is not an option. Sterling's aims are simple: the safe use of GAS.

Where are we?

Our assessment centre is in Corby, Northants. It's in a convenient location, with direct connections to major motorways, bus and rail links. Accommodation, if needed, is also available not more than three minutes from the centre.
